There is a revolution in photography right now. Amateur shutter bugs are picking up professionally rated cameras and using them. For me, this is good news. In the past, the ability to manipulate a complicated machine like a manual film camera might have been better left to the professionals. Of course, you could give it a try yourself – but you may not load the film correctly – thus getting what we call a blank roll. I have definitely had my share of these…. The difference for me now is that people don’t necessarily hire me because of my technical knowledge of the camera, but more for my ability to capture the subject. They are paying for my eye – and I love this.
