Although my Nikon Camera equipment has never limited photographic ability – I choose to keep a smaller point and shoot for some weekend trips, backpacking or nights out on the town. I did the research, and since I usually go with Sony for these types of cameras – I found the Sony Cybershot W300 to be exactly what I was looking for. Rather than go with a company I know like B & H – I thought I would try my luck with ebay…….and I got scammed.
It is kinda my fault – the seller had no transactions and was from Thailand. Those are 2 things you want to watch for (no transactions, foreign country) when purchasing. In my 6 transactions, this has never happened. I’m out the money – and still need a new camera.

Patrick – have you ever looked at the Panasonic Lumix? Would love to know what you think about them. I have a FZ50, bought my daughter the TZ4K (8.1mp 10x optical zoom) for Christmas: http://tr.im/2vok
After playing with hers – I want one for myself, too!!
I’ve bought over 70 items on Ebay from an SD card to a 2000 Jaguar and have never had a hint of a problem! Just lucky, I guess!
I’ve bought two Panasonic Lumix cameras on Ebay – the last a DMC-FS5, a 10 mpxl 30mm ‘wide angle’ that takes great pics (Leica lens), has plenty of adjustments if you want them, takes great video, and is small enough to carry anywhere. I keep it on my belt 24/7. I have a nice digital SLR but have given it up for this!
