monkey-dreams.jpg When I first became a photographer, it was like opening my eyes for the first time. Everything I saw had a relationship with light. It was that realization, along with my tendency to push the envelope in composition and color, that manifested it self into a very rewarding hobby – with direct ties to my profession on a daily basis. This story of light changed with the introduction of digital photography and photoshop. Where I was amazed at the gift of light and its affect on everything, now I was seeing everything in pixels. I started printing my visions on 24×30 pieces of canvas. And the people started buying them. The rogue photographer is an alter ego – For me, capturing a moment with a little box translates to a thief of images – or more acurately, “Acquiring urban and natural scenes with uninhibited color”. Uninhibited Color – I love that, why shouldn’t the sky be green, the clouds be blue and the ocean be yellow? One of the worst feelings is observing a unique lighting situation or a rare moment in nature and not have a camera ready to capture it. Of course, sometimes it is nice to view a temple or mountain without the camera blocking your view. This being said -Light is a gift, I intend to use it until it runs out. I am an Expert in the Ways of Light.
